Vigo Retreat Cabin 3, nestled just outside Sevenoaks, caught my eye during a recent escapade, and while the rustic charm of the cabin promised a cozy escape, it came with unexpected challenges. Despite the comfy bed that helped me snag the best night's sleep in ages, we faced a serious safety issue with the log burner, which unfortunately wasn't properly marked for use. The staff's lack of responsiveness and care about the potentially life-threatening situation left me feeling unsettled, especially given the absence of clear instructions. On a lighter note, our one-night stay was complemented by a simple continental breakfast, featuring the basics-no frills, just bread and eggs-but it was enough to kickstart our day as we explored the surrounding beauty. While the allocated parking and tucked-away location blended charm with convenience, the experience as a whole felt overshadowed by safety concerns, leaving me with mixed feelings about the getaway. If you're seeking an adventurous retreat, make sure to inquire thoroughly about safety protocols before settling in.
